Brief Description: Culture Brewing Co began with a long-time passion for beer. Culture’s three owners, John Niedernhofer (Owner), Steve Ragan (Owner/Brew Master) and Dennis Williams (Owner) began brewing together long ago. Together, they opened Culture Brewing’s brewery & on-site tasting room in February 2013 in Solana Beach, CA. In November 2014, Culture Brewing opened a satellite tasting room in Ocean Beach CA – not pictured in this post.
Culture Brewing Solana Beach features an inviting tasting room, as well as indoor and outdoor space for visitors with an ocean breeze. Seating is not provided so either be prepared to stand or bring your own seating.
The on-site Brewhouse is equipped with a 10 barrel Premier Stainless System including a boil kettle, mash tun, 5 fermenters and 3 brite/serving tanks that can be seen from the on-site tasting room through large glass paned windows.
Patrons can observe the brewers as they work.
The tasting room’s 20-tap serving system (including 4 Nitro faucets) delivers a large variety of Culture Brewing’s crafted beers.
Merchandise is also for sale.
Local artwork fills the walls for your enjoyment while drinking in a pop-up gallery fashion that changes monthly.
This year (2016), Culture Brewing won a Great American Beer Festival (GABF) Gold Medal for their Brown Ale.
