Today (July 18th) is St. Arnoldus Day.  The day is celebrated annually in Brussels, Belgium. Saint Arnoldus is most famous for urging his congregation to “Drink Beer, Not Water” during a plaque epidemic. Because beer is sterilized in production and the local water was the source of the sickness, people were saved. So today drink beer instead of water and raise a Belgian chalice to Saint Arnoldus!
