Green Flash Brewing opened their new Cellar 3 Barrel Aging Facility in Poway this past Saturday, May 16th, with artistic flair to a packed house. Cellar 3 will focus on creating barrel-aged beers experimenting with funk, wild yeast, sour, and spirit induced flavor profiles. The goal is to create unique and flavorful beers with character and finesse that demonstrate the artistry of brewing and barrel aging.
With that goal in mind, the designers also chose to create a tasting room environment featuring works of art. The Grand Opening included a Cellar 3 art show. Assembled by San Diego Curator Alexander Salazar, the show displayed selected modern art works from featured artists.
The event featured rare beers, including a cask-conditioned IPA tapping. Facility tours, opportunities to meet the brewers, and food from the Green Flash Cellar 3 Bistro Truck were also provided. Live performances by local indie bands, The Midnight Pine and Dead Feather Moon, occurred in the evening.
My talented wife took lots and lots of photos of the Cellar 3 Grand Opening event for you to experience and enjoy the Grand Opening also. Thanks dear for these photographic works of art!
