Long Beach Folk Revival Festival Press Release
In addition to banjos, crafts, beards and pure American live music, the Long Beach Folk Revival Festival is bringing a highly curated selection of local Long Beach artisanal food vendors and craft beer purveyors to the 3rd annual event at Rainbow Lagoon Park on Saturday, September 19. Annually the Long Beach Folk Revival Festival celebrates all things “Made in Long Beach” and takes pride in bringing the local creative community together.
Chef Paul of Primal Alchemy is creating a robust menu of farm to table homegrown delights exclusively for the event. Festival goers can sink their teeth into his BBQ chicken chili with sweet corn pudding, grilled corn salsa and cumin cream fresca, the country sausage, corn bread and red-eye gravy burrito, fresh corn on the cob with Parmesan garlic butter or an over easy farm egg on kale salad with sweet corn pudding and salsa quemada.
Sweet Lou’s BBQ will be serving up their pork spare ribs done up little red rooster style, marinated and slow cooked to perfection, along with their infamous BBQ pulled pork nachos. The Canvas Truck, which uses only fresh, grass-fed beef, organic produce and freshly baked breads from Los Angeles Homeboy Bakery, will be on-hand for the healthy and humane conscious meat eaters. The Pie Bar will offer handcrafted pies from scratch in mini-mason jars. Rose Park Roasters will be pouring fresh coffee throughout the festival.
Other Long Beach foodie favorites serving on-site include LuckDish Curry, Speedy Mobile Hot Dogs, Red Leprechaun, Propers Pickles, and Long Beach Jerky Co. to name a few.
The festival is pouring multiple craft beer selections to pair with the local grown culinary options. Stone Go To IPA, Stone Delicious IPA, Pizza Port Chronic Amber Ale, Saint Archer White, and Smog City Little Bo Pils are just a few of the labels on tap. VIP ticket holders will enjoy exclusive pours of the Bourbon Barrel Aged Arrogant Bastard Ale and a full craft cocktail menu courtesy of Long Beach’s own The Stache Bar.
The Long Beach Folk Festival brings local food, craft beers, signature contests, the Wee Folk Village, the “Vintage Bazaar” shopping experience and live music together to celebrate all things community. Tickets are now on-sale for $20 online (click here for link to buy tickets). Tickets will be available day of the festival for $30. Admission is free for kids under 12 and seniors over 75. Complimentary bike valet is available, so ride down with the whole family for day of good old fashion folk.
