Last night my wife and I went clubbing at Holiday Cocktail and Social Lounge. This was an invitation-only media event held to celebrate their public opening.
Holiday is Westside Costa Mesa’s new social lounge intended to “take you back in time to a classic cocktail era, where every night is a holiday”. Located at 721 W. 19th Street in an emerging but somewhat transitional area of Costa Mesa, Holiday offers high-end cocktails, snacks, and nightly DJ-driven music. Valet parking is available.
Holiday’s goal is to provide guests a sultry and fun evening of craft libations, gourmet snacks, and compelling DJ-driven music.
Business partners Rob Arellano, Gene Brezeale, David Doyle and Mike Kinsella are the team behind this new venture. Since I was attending a hosted media event, I can’t really provide a critique of Holiday’s operations at this time. But I can provide photographs annotated with information presented at the event.
Designed to invoke a “retro speakeasy” atmosphere and decorated with a “New Orleans meets Hollywood” vibe.
The bartender prepares some classic cocktails at the white marble-topped bar.
Order up! Classic cocktails for all.
A “Lemon & Lavender” – made with vodka, muddled lemon, lavender simple syrup and garnished with a lemon twist.
Being a “beer guy’, this Ballast Point Sculpin IPA was my drink of choice from a slim selection of beers.
The DJ gets ready for entertaining…
…and let’s the heart-pounding music rip with some classics from the past.
Business partner Rob Arellano explains the Holiday’s branding and business concept as well as ongoing plans for expansion with an exclusive “Club Room” and live music.
A big thanks to The ACE Agency for providing the opportunity to attend this media event and to Holiday for hosting us.
All photographs were taken by my talented and lovely wife – Patricia. Thanks dear!
