Hi everyone! I’m currently on travel in Europe and will be visiting lots of interesting breweries and bars. I’ll try to publish some short travel updates as I progress. These write-ups are coming from my mobile phone so the content is very abbreviated.
Stockholm – My first stop was Stockholm, Sweden. What a beautiful city!
One of the best places in Stockholm to discover and enjoy Swedish beer (and lots more!) is Akkurat. This restaurant and bar has hundreds of beers to satisfy any beer lover’s dreams. Their offerings include about 30 beers on draft, up to 4 different cask-conditioned ales and a huge list of available bottled or canned beer. The list includes a large selection of vintage ales. Want a vintage Cantillon or Westvleteren? This is the place!
If you are a lover of German food and beers, especially the Rauchbiers of Bamberg, then you must visit Zum Franziskaner. I was stunned to stumble on this great German restaurant and bar. And I was thrilled to order some of my favorite Bamberg beers on draft.
Tonight I plan to visit Nya Carnegiebryggeriet. This is the European sister brewery to Brooklyn Brewing.
That’s it for now. Skal!
Green with envy.
I spent the day chained to my desk.
Firkin Ron firkin wins.
