The first-ever OC Boo Ha Ha, A Haunted Oktobeerfest, made its debut this past Friday and Saturday (October 25/26). And this frightfully fun beer festival was no trick, just all treat for the large crowd of enthusiastic attendees.

Bringing over 80 German style and local craft beers, traditional German food, spooky activities, and live entertainment to the OC Fair and Event Center, the event delivered a boo-tiful time for all. While black cats prowled, pumpkins gleamed and ghosts appeared, warm-blooded festival-goers ate, drank, danced and partied. VIP ticket holders enjoyed access to select rare beers while relaxing in the “Rattskeller” lounge.

Produced by Brew Ha Ha Productions, the OC Boo Ha Ha provided the perfect environment for tricked up, costumed participants to be creepily creative and revel in the spirit of the night(s).

OC Boo Ha Ha Costumed attendees got into the spirit of the moment.

OC Boo Ha Ha also featured wickedly live musical entertainment from Orange County Oingo Boingo tribute band Dead Man’s Party and Devotional the Depeche Mode experience on Friday. Saturday attendees enjoyed heavy metal mariachi band Metalachi and Mismiths, a tribute to Misfits and The Smiths. I attended the festival on Saturday. Both the Mismiths and Metalachi delivered fang-tastic sets!

The Mismiths and Metalachi bewitched me with their blistering evil sets!

We’re stoked to introduce a new signature event in our 10th year,” said Cameron Collins, Brew Ha Ha Productions Founder. “We’ve always dreamed of a Halloween festival and cannot imagine a better venue or partner than the OC Fair.”

All in all, OC Boo Ha Ha was one ghoulishly fun event. Honestly, I really can’t think of a more kick ass way to celebrate Oktoberfest and Halloween.

Most importantly, a portion of the proceeds go to Big Brother Big Sister of Orange County and Inland Empire.

A huge thank you to The ACE Agency for providing me the opportunity to review the OC Boo Ha Ha!
