Bagby Beer celebrates its 8th Anniversary this Saturday (September 17th). Join me there to wish them the best and enjoy their festivities.
Jeff and Dande Bagby opened Bagby Beer Company, in Oceanside on Coast Highway, in the fall of 2014. In starting Bagby Beer Company, Jeff and Dande Bagby’s philosophy consists of three simple tenets: “World-class beer. Simple food done well. Inviting hospitality.”
Bagby Beer Celebrates Its 8th Anniversary
Jeff Bagby is the former Head Brewer and Director of Brewing Operations for the Pizza Port chain. During his tenure from 2005 to 2011, Pizza Port won “Best Large Brew Pub” for three consecutive years at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF). Prior to his working at Pizza Port, Jeff was also Head Brewer for Oggi’s Pizza & Brewing Company. Before Oggi’s, Jeff worked for White Labs and Stone Brewing Company.
Babgy Beer has a full day planned, as their thank you for the years of love and loyalty their customer have demonstrated. And they’ll be releasing a bevy of beers – some familiar and some brand new just for the occasion!
The celebration on Saturday includes several $8 deals to grab your attention:
12 – 2PM: breakfast burritos + the world’s best micheladas
2 – 4PM: Bagby margaritas + chips & guac
4 – 6PM: Prager Bros pretzels & beer cheese + boozy slushies
6 – 8PM: liters of our delicious lager + base pizza
Then at 8PM, Bagby will pop a few bottles of bubbles to toast their anniversary

In addition, look for the annual return of their fantastic Oktoberfestbier, ‘It’s Festastic’, in both cans and on draught, as well as, a brand new beer – ‘La Chancla’, their first Mexican-style lager.

And the word is out that Jeff has been busy evaluating a bunch of their barrel aged beers, so you can expect a few goodies from the barrel cellar too.
