2015 Beer Bloggers & Writers Conference #BBC15

I’m thrilled to announce that I will be attending the 2015 Beer Bloggers & Writers Conference in Asheville, NC from July 17-19!

The Beer Bloggers & Writers Conference is the premiere event for beer writers to interact with brewing, beer, and media experts. Participants discuss the latest trends and methods relevant to the beer and media (electronic/printed) industries – all while drinking beer and having a great time!

The conference, hosted each year in the U.S. and Europe, comprises industry experts and writers from all over the globe. This year’s U.S. conference will be held in one of the most exciting eastern hubs for craft brewing excellence – Asheville, NC. I made a very short stop in Asheville in 2013 and wrote here about my two brewery visits. Since that time, Sierra Nevada has opened their brewery and numerous other small craft breweries have emerged with excellent reputations. I can hardly wait to gain a more in-depth experience and perspective of the Asheville brewing scene.

Julia Herz, of the Brewers Association, will open the 2015 Beer Bloggers & Writers Conference in Asheville. The Brewers Association represents the craft brewing industry in the U.S. and is publisher of CraftBeer.com. Ms. Herz, a renowned industry expert, has kicked off every conference since the first one in 2010.

Local experts will also be participating, including Oscar Wong, Founder of Highland Brewing Company; Julie Atallah, owner of the Bruisin’ Ales retail store; Tony Kiss, full-time beer writer at the Asheville Citizen-Times; Anne-Fitten Glenn, author of Asheville Beer: An Intoxicating History of Asheville Brewing; and Jennifer McLucas of the Asheville Brewers Alliance.
