Firestone Walker and There Does Not Exist Collaborate to Release Hippie Highway 2.0

Hippie Highway 2.0 is the second iteration of Firestone Walker’s Hazy IPA collaboration with There Does Not Exist, this time cranked up to Double IPA proportions.
With a variety of hops offering big hits of dank tropical fruit and a blend of malted and honey oats providing a lush texture, Hippie Highway 2.0 is one you won’t want to miss. It’s available for a limited time at Firestone Walker’s three locations and online store.
Barrel-Aged Old Rasputin Release

Prior to 2010, Barrel-Aged Old Rasputin was released in such limited quantities that it was available only at the North Coast Brewing retail shop in Fort Bragg, California. However, North Coast received so many requests for this beer that they began producing enough Barrel-Aged Old Rasputin to put into broader, but still limited, distribution.
The depth, intensity, and complexity of the flavor profile of this special release, like its predecessors, make it a worthy tribute to Old Rasputin.

Deschutes Brewery and Bendistillery Release Exclusive Single Barrel Cask Strength Black Butte Whiskey

Bend, Oregon – Deschutes Brewery and Bendistillery’s Crater Lake Spirits announced release of single barrel cask strength Black Butte Whiskey. This limited malt whiskey is distilled from the wash of Deschutes Brewery’s famed Black Butte Porter. It’s then aged in new char #4 American White Oak barrels. The resulting spirit is a 125.8-proof balanced and complex whiskey. The whiskey features strong notes of sweet dark caramel, warm bread, and intense vanilla. The rich ambered honey appearance is validated by surprisingly sweet and candied almond notes on the palate that evolves into a rich texture with new oak notes and molasses finish. Subtle cocoa and warming spices arise from the porter.
This cask strength debut will be accompanied by the annual release of the original 5-year-old, 94-proof Black Butte Whiskey.
Bottles of the rare cask strength single barrel whiskey will be available for sale to the public starting Friday, November 25th for “Black Butte Friday” at Crater Lake Spirits Downtown Tasting Room located at 1024 NW Bond Street. A release party will coincide next door at Deschutes Brewery’s pub featuring sample pours and food pairings.
