2024 National Homebrew Competition –

Get ready to show off your brewing skills, and let’s have some fun! Registration for the 2024 National Homebrew Competition (NHC), the world’s largest homebrew competition, opens later this month, on Tuesday, February 27, at 10:00 a.m. MT and will be open through Friday, March 15 or until capacity is reached.

2024 National Homebrew Competition First Round Receiving & Judging

The NHC is organized by first round regional judging sites, with a shift in timing from previous years.

• Receiving and judging dates for entries vary by location; see list below
• Registrants will choose their preferred first round judging sites on a first-come, first-served basis
• Registrants are not required to choose a site based on geographical proximity
• Each first round site will be limited to 750 entries per location

Final Round Judging & Awards Ceremony

First round sites will determine the entries in each award category that will advance to the final round.

• July 29 – August 9: Receiving in San Diego
• August 17 – August 24: Final round judging in San Diego
• October 10: Winners announced at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver—details to come!
