Bottle Logic Brewing Joins The Bruery & Offshoot Beer Co.
PRESS RELEASE
The Bruery Group…..
Bottle Logic Brewing, the Anaheim brewery whose barrel-aged program is one of the most sought-after in American craft beer, is joining forces with The Bruery and Offshoot Beer Co. The transaction is expected to be completed later this year. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The three brands grew up 1.6 miles apart in Orange County: The Bruery (Placentia, est. 2008), Offshoot Beer Co., and Bottle Logic Brewing (Anaheim, est. 2013). Between them: world-renowned barrel programs, relentless innovation, an uncompromising standard for quality, and countless accolades at Great American Beer Festival, World Beer Cup, and other US and international events.
Management Perspectives
Barry Holmes, CEO of The Bruery and Offshoot Beer Co
“Bringing together two teams known for innovation sparks ideas neither would have alone. The combined business adds the structure and resources to make them real,” said Barry Holmes, CEO of The Bruery and Offshoot Beer Co. “We intend for the combined business to make each brand better than it would ever be on its own. What excites me most is the talented, passionate team at Bottle Logic. They built one of the best brands in craft beer, and putting them alongside these brands, The Bruery & Offshoot Beer Co., is the bet I’m happiest to make: two groups that will push each other, learn from each other, and build a whole greater than the sum of its parts.”
Wes Parker, Co-founder of Bottle Logic Brewing
“When we started Bottle Logic in Anaheim, the goal was simple: make beers worth waiting in line for,” said Wes Parker, Co-founder of Bottle Logic Brewing. “The marketing and logistics resources of The Bruery Group allow Bottle Logic to build on everything our team and our fans have created while keeping the things that define the brand at its core: the beer, the barrel program, the tasting room, and the community around them. We’re proud of what we’ve built in Anaheim and excited about what this next chapter makes possible.”
Brandon Buckner, Co-founder of Bottle Logic Brewing
Co-founder Brandon Buckner will continue to lead the Bottle Logic brand under the umbrella of The Bruery Group. “Bottle Logic has always been driven by curiosity and the belief that there is always another experiment worth pursuing,” said Brandon Buckner, Co-founder of Bottle Logic Brewing. “What excites me about this next chapter is having more resources to keep pushing creatively while staying true to what makes Bottle Logic unique. I’ll continue working alongside the people and community who have shaped it over the last 13 years, while giving our team more opportunities to bring new ideas to life.”
Merger Impact
For fans and members, the news is concrete: Bottle Logic’s Anaheim tasting room remains open, its beers, creative identity, and acclaimed Stasis Project barrel-aging program remain central to the brand, and for the first time Bottle Logic’s coveted releases will be available through The Bruery’s direct-to-consumer platform, which ships to 43 states. Additional details on release access, Bottle Logic customers, and The Bruery’s Society programs will be shared ahead of the first releases on the platform.
A Weekend of Logic celebration, in the spirit of the brewery’s legendary Week of Logic, will also be announced soon.
For retail and wholesale partners, the portfolios are strongly complementary: alongside its acclaimed barrel program, Bottle Logic brings everyday favorites like 714 Blonde, Fuzzy Logic, and Logic Light, expanding the combined portfolio into categories new to The Bruery and bringing a broader range of beers to retail and on-premise partners.
With this move, the brands will come together under the new banner, The Bruery Group, led by Holmes as CEO, with one job: keep these brands great and bring that greatness to more people.
The Bruery Group unites three independent brands with distinct identities and devoted followings under shared production, distribution, and operations infrastructure.
The shared infrastructure gives each independent brand greater access to production capabilities, direct-to-consumer reach, distribution, sales, marketing, and operational resources while allowing each to maintain its own voice, creative direction, and relationship with its fans. The immediate focus is bringing the teams together thoughtfully, investing in the people behind the brands, and creating more opportunities for innovation and growth without losing the identities that earned each brewery its following.
